Prompting in the Flow Section

The most convenient way of prompting your business information to your bot is in the message block during flow building. To do this, you will first have to integrate Open AI. To learn more about Open AI integration Click Here. Once integrated you can always instruct AI to perform a specific role that suits the purpose of the flow you are building. You achieve this when instructing your flow to Generate an IA Message.

Note: Start by creating the necessary Custom Fields where the AI output message will be saved. If you want to capture data from the user and prompt the AI to respond to that specific information, create an additional Custom Field to store the user’s response. Once these fields are set up, you can proceed with the following steps:

Go to Flow> Add a New Flow/ Go to Existing Flow

Click inside your message block. A pop-up to add content to your message block will appear on the left side of your screen. It should resemble the image below:

Click "+Add Content"> "Action"

Next Click "OpenAI"

Next, Click "OpenAI" as shown below;

You will be redirected to a dashboard that resembles the image below. In it, select Generate Advance text to give you more abilities for creativity.

1. Business Information Prompt.

This is where you instruct OpenAI.  In this section, you will tell OpenAI what it is, what role it plays, how it interacts with users and even examples of how such role you want it to perform is done. Below are examples of prompts to give you some context on how this is done.

Example 1

Prompt to Inquire and transfer the conversation to human Support.

Example 2

2. User Message: Examples of these have been covered in the images above.

3.  This is where you select the custom field where the AI Output message will be saved.

4.  This is where you specify the functions to undertake once the AI message is generated and sent.

5.  You can choose to remember the conversation or not.

6.  Temperature: This is where you choose how creative AI can be in the message it generates.

7.  Token: Here you can specify the maximum number of tokens in the AI-generated message. It determines how long or short the generated message is. Note that this can also be specified in the User Message section (2) above.

Prompting in the Settings Sections.

Go to Settings > Intergration> Prompt Engineering

Click Edit as shown below:

In the Custom Instructions (Business Information Prompt) section, you can define the personality, tone, and role you want your bot to embody. Use the example below as inspiration for crafting your own personalized prompt.

AI Assistants

You can also prompt AI by creating custom assistants in the Settings section. Navigate to: Settings > Integrations > Prompt Engineering > Assistant (Beta) > Manage. Once you’ve created an AI Assistant, it will appear as a selectable option in the AI settings during flow building.

Click Add

Create custom instructions that align with the Assistant’s purpose, incorporating key details like business information and response style. See the example below for more details:

You can upload PDF files in the Files section in the image above and instruct your assistant to use such files as their knowledge base. Once done remember to save. The save button is on the upper right section of your screen.

Agents (formerly known as Prompt Templates)

Go to Setting > Integration > Prompt Engineering > Prompt Template > Manage > Add

Use Agents (previously known as Prompt Templates) to guide your bot’s responses to frequently asked questions. Once you create an Agent, it will appear as a selectable option during flow building.
