TikTok Connection with Chatbot Builder AI

Introduction

The TikTok integration with Chatbot Builder AI allows you to connect your TikTok business account to automate customer service through direct messages (DM). With this connection, you will be able to receive and respond to messages from your customers from the platform, improving communication efficiency and maintaining a centralized experience.

This connection is made simply from the Chatbot Builder AI configuration panel.

Steps to connect TikTok with Chatbot Builder AI

Step 1: Go to the side menu and select Settings → Channels → TikTok → Connect. 

Step 2: Select the "Continue" button to authorize the connection between your TikTok business account and Chatbot Builder AI.

This way, your TikTok channel will be connected with Chatbot Builder AI and you will be able to start receiving direct messages from your customers.

Integration Limitations

It is important to keep in mind the following restrictions imposed by TikTok when using the integration:

Inbound messages only

• You can only send messages to customers who contact you first through TikTok direct message.
• Mass messaging (broadcasting) and proactive customer follow-up are not allowed.

Message window

• 10 messages within a 48-hour period.

Rate limit

• Each business account has a daily limit of 100 to 200 conversations.
• If you reach this limit, the following error will appear: [40064] "You are sending messages too fast. Take a rest."

 Allowed message content

• Text messages and image messages are the only allowed formats.
• Text: up to 6,000 characters.
• Images: JPG or PNG formats, with a maximum size of 3MB.

You can share your profile link in the format: https://tiktok.me/{username} Replacing {username} with your business account username.

Additionally, TikTok QR codes also support pre-filled messages, just like WhatsApp, allowing customers to start a conversation with context from the scan.
